" K T Rajasingham has been taken to his home town in Jaffna with military escort and had visited native Mallagam town to meet his relatives."
(September 13, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) The editor of the Asian Tribune who was instrumental in the breakup of the breakaway LTTE group, Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Puligal (TMVP) involving the government Minister Col Karuna and Eastern Province Chief Minister Pillaiyan is said to have made a second visit to Sri Lanka from his domicile city of Helsinki.

He has been given the right royal treatment by the Defence Ministry and is said to have been taken around Sri Lanka in military vehicles fearing someone will pounce on him over his controversial dealings including his money laundering and human smuggling activities.
K T Rajasingham has been taken to his home town in Jaffna with military escort and had visited native Mallagam town to meet his relatives.
According to reliable sources, the Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapakse had asked K T Rajasingam to testify before the Lesson Learnt and Reconciliation Committee (LLRC). He had argued with the LLRC Chairman that he requires one full day session to put across his vast knowledge on issues mandated to the Commission. But the Chair of LLRC had rejected his request and had allocated only one hour for him. After heavy arguments and pressure from the Defence Secretary, the LLRC chairman had to give in and offer him four hours to present his case.
According to information, K T Rajasingam has presented his case to the LLRC towards the end of last week.
