Lakshman invests part of the monies received for supporting the 18th Amendment with Swarnamahal

Parliamentarian Lakshman Seneviratne has invested a sum of Rs. 35 million, which is part of the monies received by him from Sajin Vass Gunawardena on a Presidential directive for supporting the 18th Amendment, at Swarnamahal Financial Services Limited, it is reliably learnt.The monies have been invested in two Rs. 20 million and Rs. 15 million installments.Meanwhile, sources from the government said that Upeksha Swarnamali’s husband Mahesh who had taken money from the government for making his wife cross over and Galle District parliamentarian Manusha Nanayakkara have been looking at luxury apartments the complex near the Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital and Royal Park in Rajagiriya.
Although the President’s confidential financial coordinator Sajin Vass Gunawardena has promised Mahesh a sum of Rs. 50 million, he had so far given only Rs. 30 million. Sajin has promised to pay the balance by the next weekend.
