Everything happens only in Hambantota

Weeraketiya is the birth place of Mahinda Rajapakse, and his father.
It is in the Beliatte electorate where he was first elected as a Member of Parliament is 1970.
He also lost his seat in Parliament in 1977, and did not regain it until 1989.

Now this electorate is represented by his niece Nirupama Rajapakse Nadesan.

While these 38 families have been given loans by the private bank, and not the government owned banks such as People's Bank or Bank of Ceylon, there are no housing loans for the Tamil civilians whose homes were destroyed by the GOSL and it's military forces. There are 100,000 such families in the Northern Province alone and most of them suffered immensley in internment camps under cruel and inhuman conditions for over a year.

Meanwhile the private banks open new branch offices under the pretext of assistaing the Tamil civilians, but the real motive is to collect their saving deposits, open current accounts and also handle thousands of inward remittances from overseas which are immensely profitable.
Such funds are then brought to Colombo and the South for investments and loans such as these to the 38 families who are either relatives, friends and voters of the Rajapakse clan.

How convenient?
