Fresh nominee by Ranil after the embarrassment
Opposition and UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe says he will nominate another member to the Parliament Council after TNA MP M.A Sumandiran objected to his name being proposed.Mr. Wickremesinghe explained that the President would remove himself and his nominee from the council if they continuously boycotted it.He therefore explained the situation would be back to square one in such a situation as he would have to nominate another member from the minority opposition party once again as per the 18th Amendment of the Constitution.He said he would keep on nominating persons and would not allow the speaker to nominate anyone and thereby create a cuscus and rap the government.
